Visual discrimination skills play a crucial role in reading and writing.  It is also important to your child's social development, such as interpreting facial expressions and body language. 

What can your child learn?

• Fine motor skills (through practice pinching)

What will your child do?

• Your child will need to pay attention to the colours and position of the colours. Next, recreate the design with pom pom balls on the working board or the working sheet.

Materials:

• x24 - 4-Grid Pattern Cards

• x1 working board OR x2 working sheets.

• 1 sheet of blank grid pattern cards template (Can be used for your child to create his/her patterns and then have a friend copy it, or you can colour it any colours or use it to match the manipulatives you have and then have your child copy it)

• Pom Pom balls or any other coloured counters
  

Preparation:

• Cut the 4-grid pattern cards
